Sylvie PHILIPPE-WITDOUCK, Maîtresse de maison, is today surrounded by her two sons, Edouard and Henri WITDOUCK, who represent the new generation at the service of Les Bas Rupts in Gérardmer.
For over a century, Les Bas Rupts has been part of the landscape of Gérardmer. Once a mountain inn, a stop for walkers and a relay for horses, it was also a café, a grocery shop, a bakery, a petrol station… and even the only telephone in the hamlet.
In 1960, Michel PHILIPPE gave new momentum to the house, raising it to the rank of a must-visit gastronomic destination in the Vosges.
His daughter, Sylvie PHILIPPE-WITDOUCK, has carried on this spirit of excellence with passion and is now joined by her sons, Edouard and Henri, young professionals in the world of charming hospitality.
Here, the art of hospitality is passed down from generation to generation, with the same joy in sharing simple, sincere, and unforgettable moments.
Start your day in Gérardmer with a generous buffet featuring mostly local, fresh, and seasonal products.
Our breads are homemade each morning by our pastry chef-baker, and eggs, crêpes, and omelettes are prepared to order, right before your eyes.
In summer, breakfast is served under the flower-filled pergola — a delightful way to enjoy the morning in the heart of the Vosges nature.
Upon arrival, enjoy complimentary covered parking with direct access to the hotel.
Three charging stations for electric vehicles are available, as well as a secure garage for bicycles equipped with a socket for electric bikes.
For motorcyclists, a private locked box is also available.
